Server Overload Brought
To Our Attention
February 11, 2005 For Several Reasons, I will not write about at this time we have had our servers un-operational. We have been working on cd's and a movie partly why we have been so busy. We are back online advertising the CD (Revealed) just completed, and the Movie and CD that's in the works,
CD (Revealed) Just Finished
CD in the works; The Day of The Lord Has Come, 3 1/2 Years of Hell on Earth You Have hurt His People, Where Are You Going To Hide
February 17, 2004 After several attempts to keep the second donated server active, we have found it necessary to not keep our services on that server. The overload was to much extra load on their server for them to operate properly. We have been thankful for the time we were allowed to use their services free to WGN though. We have been offered a new server to use recently to help our needs to keep active with our services. We have been moving services that direction. Although lately during the move we were informed that the server being rented may expire because of no further need by the company. This has left us in a dilemma of which way to go. We have temporarily stopped setting up files to the new server because it may not be there to use after all the work of setting up the services. We have been looking at a remote server to rent with a large backbone connection and good bandwidth to sustain our programming for now in our present load condition. The cost wouldn't be to prohibitive to serve our needs and allow WGN to expand to a better service that has always been denied to WGN because of funds to purchase it. Although presently there are no servers available to rent because they rent fast at the price offered to the customers. I haven't seen Windows 2003 Server OS available to often though. They don't have very many of them or people are keeping them to rent. This is what we were interested in renting. Windows 2003 Server OS Only, with Multimedia Capabilities and the ability to use Terminal Services for our Administration. Also WGN will maintain its own server, remotely.
August 10, 2003 Our second server that is donated free for WGN to use to serve our services, has been down for a few days now. We believe they will be up and running soon, we were called today and informed they are still working on the problem. Sorry part of our links aren't working. We have moved some back our way, fearing we will be overloaded and shut down. We try to not have no more activity than necessary to keep online. If WGN ever was visited as heavy as some of the Christian websites we would at this time be shutdown. WGN ranks well according to Alexa ranking compared to most Christian websites. If We ever kicked into high gear, we would never be able to survive without a better backbone connection. June 17, 2003
programming. February 13, 2003 We are working to move the software and file.zip files to another server, to start the downloads again. The streaming audio and video may still need to be on hold. February 6, 2003 Today February 6, 2003, we have decided to hold the streaming files, and the church music zip downloads. February 4, 2003 Because of overload on our server we have had to make a decision here at " The World Gospel Ministries " to withhold part of our services until funds are received to increase our bandwidth and server system. We are in danger of being shutdown, I'm Sorry To Say, For Lack Of Support. We will start withholding services we need to, only until funds come in to provide our needs. Pray with us for the support we need, and that we can stay online Preaching and Teaching Gods Word. We had hoped by now that we would have had the support we needed to advance our systems and avoid this situation. We have decided to temporarily hold;
